The water company is looking to put a contract in place for Rodent Control Services primarily designed to assist Thames Water's customers with their rodent issues by attempting to ascertain any issues with the sewerage system. The appointed Service Provider will use a combination of CCTV sewer inspections, baiting and other investigation techniques to the extent required to produce a full rodent investigation report to Thames Water on the findings and next steps.

Thames Water is seeking a supplier to collaboratively work with them to deliver specialised rodent control services to our customers.

Works to be undertaken are expected to include:

  • Rodent investigation - this will consist of a variety of survey techniques as necessary to establish this extent to which Thames Water's assets are contributing to a customer’s rodent issues. These findings will then be presented back to the customer in the form of a detailed report
  • CCTV surveys
  • Redlining of unmapped sewerage systems
  • Capturing relevant Thames Water asset data
  • Sewer Baiting

Any contract awarded would be for an initial duration of 5 years, with options to extend annually up to a maximum overall term of 8 years.

Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 24 January 2022 – click here to access the tender documentation.
