Yorkshire Water tenders £22m-plus AMP7 end-user computing, rugged devices and data centre hardware contract

Yorkshire Water has gone out to tender with an AMP7 contract for end-user computing, rugged devices and data centre hardware worth approximately an estimated £22. 76 million in total.

The contract is being tendered in four separate Lots:

Lot 1 - end user computing - including laptops, desktops, peripherals, software and a range of other associated items / services - £8.43 million

Lot 2 - rugged devices / field devices - including devices, software and peripherals suitable for Yorkshire Water’s field workforce and a range of other items / services - £4.89 million

Lot 3 - data centre hardware and network - including servers, software, storage and network equipment (including DC Score - SDN / SDA technologies) - ad-hoc purchases (e.g.: routers, switches), major capital requirements (e.g. servers, storage, other infrastructure) and a range of other services / items - £8 million

Lot 4 – maintenance, warranty and support - £1.44 million

Initial contract term is three years followed by three further 12 month extension options.
