The water company is currently reviewing its strategy for the repair and maintenance of valves during AMP7. The scope covers preventative and proactive maintenance including inspection and regular servicing, reactive repairs as required and the provision of spare parts for the following types of equipment:

  • Sluice valves
  • Pressure-reducing, control, check or safety valves
  • Non-return valves
  • Penstock valves
  • Gate valves
  • Valve actuators

United Utilities is undertaking pre market research in order to evaluate the current market capability and identify whether there is a potential to put in place a single supplier arrangement, or whether it is commercially viable to put in place a multi supplier arrangement.

Deadline for responses and expressions of interest is 9th June 2021- click here to access the Prior Information Notice.
