Affinity Water has been working collaboratively to finalise its delivery of non-infrastructure or Above Ground projects for AMP7 as the first year of the AMP concludes. These relate to treatment plants, reservoirs, booster stations and many more.

The four framework infrastructure projects will help deliver Affinity Water’s commitment to take care of the environment by complementing the sustainability reductions programme, continue building on their resilience and protecting customer supplies.

The four contracts make up a significant part of the multi-million AMP7 Capital Investment Programme and will cover all regions served by Affinity Water. Under this framework partners will be delivering over 100 different projects providing civil engineering, M&E, process treatment and pumping station projects.

Steve Plumb, Director of Asset Strategy and Capital Delivery said:

“Affinity Water is pleased to sign these long-term agreements with these four key partners to support in the delivery of our challenging above ground assets programme. These frameworks adopt a more collaborative approach focussing on achieving shared programme value and efficiencies.

We look forward to a successful relationship with each partner”.

Affinity Water provides 900 million litres of water each day to a population of more than 3.6 million people in parts of Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Surrey, the London Boroughs of Harrow and Hillingdon and parts of the London Boroughs of Barnet, Brent, Ealing and Enfield.

The utility also supplies water to the Tendring peninsula in Essex and the Folkestone and Dover areas of Kent.
