Cardiff Council has gone out to tender with a framework contract construction consultancy services worth an estimated £300 million in total.

The Council is looking to put in place and host a framework agreement for the provision of technical and professional services to UK public sector clients.
The wide-ranging South East Wales Technical and Professional Services contract will be available to includes central government departments, arm's length bodies and agencies, non-departmental public bodies, NHS Bodies and local authorities.
The framework, which will consist of a number of construction consultancy disciplines as well as a neutral vendor managed service provision, is being tendered in eleven separate Lots.
Lot 1: multi-discipline
Lot 2: civil and highway engineering consultants
Lot 3: transportation consultants
Lot 4: ground and water consultancy
Lot 5: estates and residential development professional services
Lot 6: site supervision
Lot 7: aviation consultants
Lot 8: geotechnical consultants
Lot 9: archaeological/cultural heritage consultancy
Lot 10: master planning/urban design
Lot 11: neutral vendor managed service
Initial contract term is 4 years with the option 2 further one year extension options.
Services to be provided under Lot 1 for Multi-Discipline Practices include an All-In option to be used where a lead consultant or project manager is required to take responsibility for and manage the contracts for all required services.
Services required under Lot 4 for Ground and Water Consultancy Practices cover:
- Ground and Water Contamination Consultancy
- Flood Risk Mapping, Modelling and Analysis Consultancy
- Water Management Consultancy
