NI Water tenders £750K process optimisation contract for Belfast WwTW

NI Water has gone out to tender with a contract for Process Optimisation/Real Time Control (RTC) at its Belfast Waste Water Treatment Works worth an estimated £750,000.

The water company is looking to procure the design, supply, installation, commission and ongoing service operation of a Real Time Control (RTC) System.

The system will need to provide process management to deliver defined benefits as per key performance indicators, whilst simultaneously meeting minimum returns on investment.

The performance improvements will be measured under trial using a selection of qualitative and quantitative key performance indicators. NI Water main aims are to reduce energy consumption and carbon footprint, whilst simultaneously improving reliability and resilience.

Initial contract period is 4 years with a further 1 year extension.
