The framework covers design, manufacture, supply, works testing and delivery to site.

All ductile iron pipe and fittings supplied under the contract must comply with BS EN 545:2006 for clean water applications and BS EN 598 for waste water applications.

Products supplied must also comply with the requirements of section 27 of the Water Supply (Water Quality) (Scotland) Regulations 2001.

Suppliers may also be required to provide expertise and guidance on most suitable and efficient use of the products on some projects.

The tender says it is a condition of contract award that suppliers appointed to the framework agreement will challenge presented specifications on projects in order to drive efficiency and benefits.

The framework will be for an initial 4-year agreement with a further 4 x 1 year extension options.

Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 6th May 2020 – click here to access the tender documentation.
