Thames Water has extended the tender deadline for a £24 million-plus control valves contract to Thursday 26th March – original date for EOIs and requests to participate was today.

Thames is looking to award one or more framework agreements to suppliers capable of supplying valves directly, or on behalf of its contractors in AMP 7. The contract covers valves for use in both clean water and waste water operations, together with associated accessories and spares, and also covers valves maintenance.
The framework agreement - with an estimated total value of 24.416 million – is being tendered in the following Lots:
- Lot 1: Isolation Valves
- Lot 2: Non return Valves
- Lot 3: Air Valves
- Lot 4: Penstocks
- Lot 5: Hydrants
- Lot 6: Valve maintenance
The maintenance Lot covers planned and reactive repair, emergency response, and maintenance of TWUL valves and associated equipment including failure investigation, overhaul and servicing of the full valves types, sizes and makes used in the water and sewage industry. Work will cover on and off-site work and may include removal of plant from site, delivery, offloading, installation and commissioning.
The framework agreements will be for an initial term of 3 years with further extension options up to extend to a maximum of 8 years in total.
