Scotland Excel looks to set up £40m engineering and construction consultancy services framework

Scotland Excel is looking to set up an engineering and construction consultancy services framework on behalf of participating councils and associate members within Scotland worth an estimated £40 million.

The organisation, the centre of procurement expertise for Scotland's local government sector which is funded by Scotland’s 32 local authorities, develops and manages collaborative contracts on behalf of the authorities and associate members.

The main scope of the framework covers engineering and technical related services, project support and management and buildings related technical services.

Scope of works to be provided via the framework, which will be tendered in a number of separate Lots, includes:

  • inspection
  • assessments
  • mechanical engineering services
  • electrical engineering services
  • civil and structural engineering services of buildings
  • project and commercial management
  • masterplanning
  • biodiversity
  • geotechnical and testing
  • drainage and flooding
  • catchment modelling and analysis
  • flooding studies
  • flood prevention schemes
  • hydrology
  • drainage impact assessments
  • SuDS
  • integrated water planning
  • dams and reservoirs engineering
  • environmental impact assessments

At this stage, there is an opportunity for interested suppliers to consult with Scotland Excel in relation to the potential framework – the organisation is inviting consultancies to provide input in relation to the potential scope and structure of the framework.
