Scottish Water has awarded a framework contract for a cloud hosted software and hardware workspace management service worth an estimated £10 million.
The service will allow employees to book and manage reservations for 2500 resources (made up of desks, hot desks, meeting rooms, pool cars, electric car charging points and parking spaces) across 15 Scottish Waster locations.
The new service will replace the current workspace manager product (current supplier Asure Software) and enable the water company’s employees to use a number of potential interfaces, including web based application, meeting room panels, self-service kiosks, mobile interface and Outlook Add In.
The framework is intended to allow Scottish Water’s Workplace team to report on utilisation of the resources to enable strategic decision making at the locations. The utility is seeking to achieve the following deliverables:
- reliable and secure desk and room booking service with simple user interfaces which does not adversely impact the user experience and productivity
- resilient desk and room booking service which meets Scottish Water requirements if a business continuity or disaster recovery event occurs
- value for money service with robust information security including GDPR compliance
Egremont Group, Pathfinder Execution Ltd and VISION Consulting have all won a place on the contract, 3 of 4 firms in the bidding for the work.
