Scottish Water tenders £5.2bn capital investment, repair and maintenance & MEICA contracts

Scottish Water has gone out to tender with a framework contract for capital investment, infrastructure repair and maintenance & Mechanical Electrical Instrumentation Control and Automation (MEICA) worth an estimated £5.2 billion in total.

The water company is seeking to appoint strategic contractor partners to support deliver of its planned, lower value, generally non-complex capital investment projects, including refurbishment and replacement requirements.

Scottish Water is also seeking to appoint strategic contractor partners to support delivery of our operational reactive repair requirements. The frameworks will be awarded for 2021-27, with extension options, at client discretion based on business requirements, up to 2033. Scottish Water intends to award contracts under this framework in 4 lots:

  • Lot 1: Repair and Maintenance for Infrastructure Water and Waste Water,
  • Lot 2: Capital Investment for Infrastructure and Civils,
  • Lot 3: Repair and Maintenance for Mechanical and Electrical,
  • Lot 4: Capital Investment for Mechanical Electrical Instrumentation Control and Automation (MEICA).
