Yorkshire Water has gone out to tender with a framework contract seeking partners for the provision of technical services worth an estimated £77.2 million in total.
The water company wants to develop strong partnerships via the framework for the delivery of key services in support of its AMP7 business plan objectives:
- engineering — inc. instrumentation control and automation and monitoring
- design
- surveys — site and desktop
- consultancy
- project management including
- delivery management/supervision
- site engineering
- minor installation works
- device and system configuration
Initial term of the framework is 4 years with a further 2 year extension option. Estimated total value of the contract, which is being tendered in two Lots, is £77.2 million.
Lot 1 Project and Programme Management ( £34 million) includes:
- support for the preparation of business analyses
- quality assurance
- provision of detailed understanding and knowledge of mechanical and electrical instrumentation, control, automation and telemetry monitoring in order to optimise Yorkshire Waters water and sewage treatment processes
- supervising works on the complete range of operational water and sewage sites
- minor installations of equipment on water and sewage sites, including mechanical and electrical, telemetry, SCADA, PLCs, water and sewage instrumentation
- commissioning of a number of assets on the complete range of water and sewage plant
Lot 2 - design services (£43.2 million) includes:
- process design
- civil and structural design
- mechanical design
- electrical, instrumentation control automation and monitoring design
- consultancy services
- feasibility studies
