Crown Commercial Service tenders £80m construction products and materials framework

The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) has gone out to tender with a contract to put in place a commercial agreement for the provision of construction products, consumables and materials worth an estimated £80 million.

The commercial agreement will be utilised by eligible Central Government Departments and all other UK Public Sector Bodies.

The framework agreement will be for the provision of supply, delivery and services of materials across a wide scope of construction products, consumables and materials, including:

  • managed services
  • heavy and light side building materials
  • plumbing and heating
  • electrical
  • timber and joinery
  • workshop
  • industrial and electric tools
  • small tools and plant hire services
  • personal protective equipment.

Estimated total value of the framework, which is being tendered in 9 Lots and will run for 18 months, is £80 million.

A Cyber Essentials Basic Certificate or equivalent is mandatory for Central Government Contracts which involves handling personal information and providing certain ICT products and services and is required for all Lots.

Bidders will have to demonstrate to the CCS that they meet the technical requirements prescribed by cyber essentials to win a place on the Framework Agreement.
