Southern Water has gone out to tender with a legal services contract for household customer debt collection and litigation services worth an estimated £13 million.

The water company is looking for suppliers to provide litigation services and pre-litigation debt collection services on household customer debt.

The requirement is for an 'end-to-end' service to include pre-litigation collections activity, pre-litigation assessment (scorecarding), claims processing, and post judgment enforcement.
