Anglian Water tenders £10m leakage detection & network sensors contract

Anglian Water has gone out to tender with a contract for leakage detection and network sensor equipment worth an estimated £10 million.

water-pipe-880975 640The scope of the tender is to provide Anglian Water with leakage detection equipment required to locate leaks in its networks.

The contract is being tendered in 2 separate Lots – for noise loggers and transient loggers respectively.

The utility is looking for to appoint innovative and collaborative suppliers who can ensure that any research and development across leakage detection equipment is encouraged and can be adapted to keep Anglian Water leading in its leakage management. This will include collaboration of technologies with both Anglian Water and other suppliers to develop leading detection products.

According to Anglian, this will help future proof the framework so products supplied will be selected on a best for task basis at any time throughout the duration of the framework. Price and product reviews will be held on a regular basis throughout the term to ensure competitive products and prices are upheld.

The specification document includes details of a range of products identified by the water company which are currently in use.

Anglian is looking to appoint up to 10 suppliers to the framework agreement - the initial contract will run for five years, with three further 1 year extension options.
