Scottish Water tenders £7m managed security service contract for IT infrastructure

Scottish Water has gone out to tender with a contract a managed security service for its Information Technology related infrastructure and systems worth a potential £7 million in total.

The water company is looking for a partner to provide a managed security service with a focus on threat detection and incident response.  It also wants to leverage threat intelligence and advanced analytics capabilities that are on offer from the marketplace to address advanced detection and support automation and orchestration of incident response activities.

Scottish Water  wants to procure a more hybrid service delivery model to replace the current contract for security services which expires on  31 August 2018.

Estimated annual value of the 5 year contract is put at up to £1 million – with a further three annual extension options.
