LHC awards £20m legionella control & water management framework contract

LHC, a leading provider of free-to-use framework agreements to all publicly funded contracting authorities, has awarded a framework contract for legionella control and water management services worth an estimated £20 million.

The framework was tendered in two separate Workstreams each split across regional Lots.

  • Workstream 1 — Water Hygiene Consultants
  • Workstream 2 — Water System Maintenance

Under the framework suppliers will provide the services required to control legionella, other waterborne pathogens and activities associated with the equipment supplying water.

The contract also covers services related to pipework corrosion, the risk from scalding, management of grey water and rainwater harvesting systems and buildings using private water systems (ground sourced).

LHC's frameworks are used by local authorities, social landlords and other public sector bodies to procure works, products and services.

Established by the London boroughs in 1966, LHC now has offices and field based staff supporting more than 200 contracting authorities throughout England, Wales and Scotland.

Acorn Chemical Services Ltd, Graham Asset Management Ltd t/a Graham Environmental Services, hsl Compliance Ltd, Integrated Water Services Ltd, SMS Environmental Ltd. and Soil Mechanics t/a Environmental Scientifics Group Ltd have all been awarded a place on the framework, which runs for four years.
