Southern Water has awarded an optimisation partner framework contract for the provision of consultative engineering and construction services

Southern Water went out to tender for partners with proven track records of recommending, delivering and implementing optimisation / innovation projects and initiatives that generate savings and efficiencies.

The water company was looking for suppliers  with demonstrable expertise in the following key areas:

Process knowledge and engineering expertise

• M&E and ICA expertise
• Treatment process optimisation
• Pump efficiencies
• Chemical dosing
• Aeration optimisation
• Sludge

Six companies were in the bidding for the framework agreement for provision of asset and systems optimisation and innovation works and services.

EcoGenR8 Ltd (trading as Afeco), MWH UK Ltd and Suez Advanced Solutions UK Ltd have all been awarded places on the framework.
