Northern Ireland Water has awarded its non-infrastructure major works framework contract worth an estimated £300 million.
Under the framework the successful suppliers will deliver a range of individual work packages, including the delivery of wastewater and water treatment process works design, construction, installation, testing and commissioning of the civil, environmental, process, mechanical and electrical elements (including instrumentation, control, automation and telemetry) for new Wastewater Treatment Works.
The same activities will also be undertaken for the up-grade, refurbishment and extension of existing WwTWs or WTWs to achieve the defined outputs whilst delivering operational efficiencies and minimising utilisation of existing NI Water assets.
Other works will include the design, construction, installation, testing and commissioning or refurbishment and extension of service reservoirs, sea outfalls, combined storm overflows, pumping stations, building and civil engineering works.
Suppliers awarded a place on the framework, which will run for six years are as follows:
