Advanced Procurement for Universities and Colleges Ltd has gone out to tender with a framework agreement contract for water quality management services worth an estimated £15 million.
APUC Ltd, the procurement centre of expertise for all of Scotland universities and colleges, is seeting up the framework for use by a range of UK Further and Higher education sector bodies and wider public bodies including:
- UK Universities Purchasing Consortia (UKUPC)
- Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium
- Advanced Procurement for Universities and Colleges, Scotland
- Higher Education Purchasing Consortium, Wales
- London Universities Purchasing Consortium
- North Eastern Universities Purchasing Consortium
- North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium
The tender says that the public sector bodies all have a need for water quality management services, including legionella. The services within the scope of the framework agreement have been sub-divided into 5 regional Lots for risk assessment and 2 nationwide Lots — Lot 6 water treatment services (remedial treatment and preventive maintenance) and Lot 7 one stop shop for both risk assessment and water treatment services.
