Lincolnshire County Council has gone out to tender with a contract worth up to £60 million for highways maintenance which includes drainage work and flood prevention schemes.

The Council is seeking to set up a Select List framework to replace its current Select List framework which expires in August 2016. The purpose of the framework is to procure works of highway maintenance and / or improvement, on or adjacent to the highway. Including drainage works.

The schemes may be within, on, or adjacent to the County boundaries, including private land, and may be undertaken on behalf of:

• all Lincolnshire's 8 District Authorities
• Internal Drainage Boards within the County
• S278 Developers

The framework contract, which will run for four years, is split into five Lots - the council's intention is for each Lot to contain 5 suppliers. Suppliers can submit tenders for a maximum of 4 Lots - the maximum that can be awarded to one tenderer.

Estimated combined total value of all five Lots, which are banded according to value, is £60 million. The work will include highway maintenance or improvements, maintenance and improvement of bridge and culvert assets, urban/ municipal, drainage including flood prevention schemes, and environmental projects.
