Portsmouth Water to tender £6.2m AMP6 non infrastructure capital works contract

Portsmouth Water has issued a Periodic indicative notice of its intention to go out to tender for non infrastructure capital works in AMP6 worth £6.2 million.

Portsmouth Water’s non infra structure capital investment strategy is focused on a collaborative working Totex model.

The water company says that in order to achieve this, the non infra structure capital expenditure has been split into 4 lots (Small Civil, M&E, Dosing, System Integration). Each lot will be tendered separately via the Achilles system, however with an NEC3 X12 partnering arrangement within the contract. The intention is for the successful tenderer of each lot to form a X12 partnership with the other lots and Portsmouth Water.

Estimated total value of the contract is £6.2 million, with Lot 1 for mechanical and electrical works valued at around £3.45 million. Lots 2 and 3 for civils non infrastructure work and systems integration respectively are each  worth around £1 million, while Lot 4 for dosing is worth around £750,000.
