Wessex Water names £350m AMP6 civils and EMI delivery partners

Seven suppliers have won a place on Wessex Water's £350 million AMP6 Civils and EMI capital delivery partner framework contract.

The estimated total value ot the contract, which covers the five year  AMP6 period to 2020, is £350 million.

The contract includes an  extension option  to continue through to AMP7 ending in 2025, dependent upon performance and subject to the AMP7 determination. The  value for the AMP7 period is not yet known.

The successful companies will provide a range of of Civils and Electrical, Mechanical and Instrumentation (EMI) works under the contract, including associated works related to water and waste water treatment works and above and below ground distribution networks and infrastructure.

Aberford-based Lewis Civil Engineering Ltd, Interserve Construction Ltd, Raymond Brown Construction Ltd, Dawnus Construction Holdings Ltd and Nomenca were the successful bidders out of 8 companies in the bidding for the  Lot 1 Civils contract.

Interserve Construction Ltd and Nomenca Ltd also won a place on the Lot  2 EMI contract, two of four companies who bid for the work - Trant Engineering Ltd and ACIEM Group Ltd have also won a place on the framework.

Subsequent contracts to be let as Package Orders under the framework will be managed by Wessex Water’s in-house engineering and construction business, Wessex Engineering Construction Services.
