Anglian Water has gone out to tender with a contract for telemetry outstations worth up to £4 million.
The water company is looking to appoint up to six participants to the framework agreement, which will run for five years.
Anglian Water operates a large enterprise telemetry system whichis critical to the company’s day to day operations and regulatory compliance. During AMP5 Anglian replaced around 2,700 of the 10,000 telemetry outstations in the estate, both above and below ground. The replacement programme is set to continue during AMP6 and all future AMPs.
Potential suppliers will be expected to comply with the Water Industry Telemetry Standard (WITS) and Distributed Network Protocol 3 (DNP3) open protocol.
