Scottish Water has gone out to tender with a contract for Tier 1 Delivery Partners for its Non-Infrastructure for Capital Investment Programme which will run for up to eleven years and is worth up to £360 million.
The water company is looking to appoint up to four suppliers to the framework agreement for the delivery of its Quality and Standards IV (Q&SIV) Capital Investment Programme for the regulatory period 2015 to 2021.
Scottish Water is anticipating that the Tier 1 Delivery Partners will not sub-contract work other than to Scottish Water Tier 2 framework contractors, meaning applicants should therefore have the in-house resources to self deliver the work allocated to them.
The utility is looking for suppliers with a dual civil engineering and mechanical and electrical capability including off site manufacturing - the main focus of interest is on Mechanical and Electrical capability.
The estimated value of work that will be undertaken by the Tier 1 Delivery Partners is £ 30 million per annum. Subject to demand and performance any frameworks awarded may also be extended to cover the period 2021-2027. Total estimated value of the framework is put at between £300 million to £360 million. Work will be issued to the Tier 1 supply chain within the financial year commencing April 2016 but the value of work awarded to the Tier 1 supply chain will ramp up during the financial year commencing April 2017.
Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 10th September 2016 – click here to access the tender documentation.
