Thames Water has gone out to tender with a contract for the supply of natural gas during AMP6 and potentially AMP7 worth between £18 million to £25 million.
The water company is looking to establish a single framework agreement for the supply of natural gas to daily and non daily meters for sites in the south east region of England.
Thames wants to establish a partnership to maximise effectiveness of commodity buying and integrating data from AMR for operational efficiency and billing accuracy - Purenergy Limited has been appointed to assist with the project.
Thames Water has an estimated annual estimated consumption of 100 GWh but this could increase or decrease by 15 %.
Any framework agreement awarded would commence on the 1.4.2016 and would be for an initial term of 3 years, with options to extend twice by 2 years each, up to a maximum overall term of 7 years.
