Nineteen pioneering solutions to some of the biggest challenges facing the water sector have been awarded £58 million, as the winners of the sixth Water Breakthrough Challenge are announced.

Scottish Water has awarded a contract for occupational health services which had an estimated total value of c£6.83 million (ex VAT) when it first went out to tender in November 2024.

Following what it describes as a challenging winter, Southern Water has announced is investing £11 million in Hampshire to help protect homes, reduce disruption and strengthen the sewer network against the impacts of groundwater.
