Thames Water is seeking a further £2.4 billion in funding to enable it to continue delivery of its AMP8 capital programme, increasing the £3 billion currently available to it under the super senior facility entered into with its subsidiary, Thames Water Super Senior Issuer PLC to £5.4 billion.

Thames Water has announced today that the Fifteenth Consent Requests launched on 29 September have been approved by its creditors, enabling the company to draw down a further £170 million in October.

Thames Water Utilities Ltd and Thames Water Super Senior Issuer PLC have launched parallel consent and waiver requests with voting deadlines of 18 December 2025.

Thames Water Utilities Ltd has announced that today the Court of Appeal upheld the restructuring plan to extend the liquidity runway of the Thames Water Group.

The Court of Appeal has been told that a plan to restructure Thames Water through a loan of up to £3 billion should not have been approved by the High Court as its terms are "mispriced and inappropriate."

The Appeal Court has this morning started a three day hearing of an appeal against the High Court decision to allow Thames Water’s restructuring plan which would see it receive an emergency £3 billion loan from its Class A creditors.

Moody's Ratings has downgraded Thames Water Utilities Ltd.'s (Thames Water) Probability of Default (PDR) rating to D-PD from Ca-PD - the rating action coincides with the effective date of Thames Water's restructuring plan announced by the company on 21 February 2025.
