Stantec appoints new Technical Director Climate Change and Sustainability in UK

Stantec has announced the appointment of a new Technical Director, Climate Change and Sustainability to its UK environmental services team.

Adam Slimin has joined Stantec from Wood PLC where he was a Technical Director of Climate, Resilience and Sustainability and Director of Innovation and Technology. 

He has over 26 years’ experience in the environment and sustainability consulting, which includes leading the environmental sustainability teams for several key UK based environmental and sustainability consultancies working on several of the country’s largest infrastructure projects.

He also has extensive experience in the water sector delivering strategic consulting work and capital delivery solutions, as well as significant experience in delivering innovative technology solutions.

Adam Slimin has led teams in the delivery of work for the Heathrow Expansion project, resilience projects for the World Bank and innovative solutions for the Bradwell new nuclear build.

Commenting on his appointment, he said:

“I’m thrilled to be joining Stantec at this time and am particularly looking forward to being able to use my experience to support the delivery of new and sustainable forms of development. The country is currently facing immense economic, social and environmental challenges – exacerbated by the impacts of Covid-19 – which make the need for increased ambition and collaboration by all those involved in the development cycle more urgent than ever.”

Stantec said Adam Slimin will be key in implementing Stantec's climate change and social value programme.
