Thames Water appoints new Chief Financial Officer from power sector

Thames Water has appointed SSE’s Brandon Rennet to succeed Stuart Siddall as Chief Financial Officer in March 2017.

BrandonRennetSir Peter Mason, Chairman of Thames Water Utilities, said:

“Following Stuart Siddall’s decision to retire we’ve conducted a thorough search for a new Chief Financial Officer and I’m delighted to announce the board has appointed Brandon Rennet to this important post.” 

 “Brandon has extensive experience in the utilities industry, having worked in the power sector for 14 years. He is a proven leader who will be joining Thames Water at a time of significant change in the industry, with the competitive market open to all non-household customers from April.”

 “This, along with other upcoming regulatory changes, will require an even sharper focus on our finances and industry-leading investment programme to ensure our customers continue to get the best value for money and service they deserve. We look forward to Brandon taking control of this crucial area of the business from March as we head into a new era.”

Brandon Rennet has worked in the power sector for 14 years, and for SSE since February 2007 where he has held a number of senior finance roles before being appointed Managing Director, Finance in July 2013. His key achievements at SSE include leading the execution of more than £7bn of funding, primarily  in the public debt capital markets, and driving its finance transformation programme.
