Anglian Water has appointed Deloitte LLP as its new external auditor.

The company said that Deloitte had been awarded the work following a competitive tender process – the appointment comes into effect immediately.

The engagement follows a review by the company of its internal and external audit functions in anticipation of legislative changes around auditor engagement. The move is in line with a wider group initiative by Anglian Water Group Ltd, the ultimate parent undertaking for companies including Anglian Water Services Financing plc, Osprey Holdco Ltd and Anglian Water (Osprey) Financing plc.

Deloitte is replacing outgoing auditor, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
