The Society of British Water & Wastewater Industries has announced the launch of its new identity as the Future Water Association.
The rebranding for the SBWWi, originally established in 1986, was launched at the Water Innovation forum 2015 in Belfast, supported by Northern Ireland Water, accompanied by a new website for the organisation - www.futurewaterassociation.com.
The Association said the move would pave the way for reinvigoration of the supply chain across the whole of the water sector.
The Future Water Association is aiming to shape the future of the water sector through:
- taking a leadership role with Government, industry, members and the public
- focusing on innovation and education
- increasing engagement throughout the membership and across the sector
- becoming the voice of the sector
The not-for profit organisation’s Mission Statement is Innovating for the Future – To inspire the supply chain to think creatively, release their potential and develop innovative solutions to shape the future of the water sector.
Chief Executive Officer, Paul Horton said:
“Future Water Association can be a catalyst for change in the water sector. It is an exciting time to be heading up a body that is leading the future development of the supply chain, underpinned with a clear mission, vision and set of objectives.”
