The Ministry of Defence has gone out to tender with a contract worth up to £12 million for the supply of basic inorganic and organic chemicals.
The four year contract is for the supply of a range of chemicals on-demand, in order to provide tri-service support to operational and non-operational units in the UK and overseas.
The range of chemicals will be broken down into the following 5 lots:
- Domestic Cleaning
- Dessicants
- Workshop
- Specialist Cleaning
- Laboratory and Water Purification.
MoD intends to use an electronic auction as part of the procurement process for the contract, which is valued at between £8 million to £12 million.
Deadline for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 10th June. There will be an opportunity to attend a bidders conference in MOD Abbey Wood, Bristol on 13th May.
Suppliers interested in working with the Ministry of Defence will need to register on the MOD Supplier Information Database (SID) Register, available at www.contracts.mod.uk The MOD SID is a database of active and potential suppliers available to all MOD and UK Defence procurement personnel, and is the main supplier database of MOD Procurement organisations.
